Mr. Lloyd Johnson

Dear Mr. Johnson

Thank you for your recent correspondence to Cindy Lamoureux, MLA for Tyndall Park, inquiring about the possibility of establishing a protected areas corridor in the CentrePort area, between Little Mountain Park and the North Quarry. Your information has been shared with Honourable Sarah Guillemard, Minister of Conservation and Climate, and I have been asked to respond on her behalf

While we appreciate your efforts to pursue expanding Little Mountain Park to protect additional natural and cultural features, Manitoba Conservation and Climate is not in a position to facilitate this proposal. Little Mountain Park is not a provincial park land and is instead under the jurisdiction of the City of Winnipeg. Therefore, I encourage you to continue to further your proposal with representatives of the City of Winnipeg Public Works Department, Parks and Open Space Branch

Thank you again for taking the time to write

Yours truly

Rob Nedotiafko Director
